God's Word is filled with mysteries - buried treasures and riches... hidden patterns ready to be discovered... secrets prepared for us. And all of these require us to search and dig. The Bible is not just words on paper; it's packed with powerful pictures and principles God wants us to see. But finding these riches requires effort. This is why Jesus taught the importance of persistence: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). In fact, true riches and treasures aren't found lying around on the ground in plain sight. They are like precious stones, buried deep in the ground. Jesus even said that He spoke in parables, in part, so a key meaning could be hidden to all but those who would dig. To His disciples He said, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 13:11). As we read and study God's Word, we should become conscious of its unfathomable depths. The more we learn, the more we realize how much is yet to be discovered. Just think of the comment made by John: "The world itself would not contain the books that would be written" if we knew all that Jesus had said and done (John 21:25). Powerful truths can be in places where most people would never look. Revelations can be found on every page of the Bible, in every chapter. Today, God invites you to be a treasure hunter. Don't be content with the obvious or with what seems to be true on the surface. Make a commitment. Start digging into His Word as never before. Read and study. Be sure to ask daily for His wisdom and for revelation knowledge."
Prayer
Father, I need Your wisdom. Open my eyes. Give me greater revelation and insight. Use me to impact others for Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name. Amen.
